Okay, I am trying to order some horse blankets (canvas) my horses range from just shy of 15 hands and 15.2.     What size horse blanket should I get?    One friend says get them big the other person says get them to fit.   

So what is the normal size horse blanket for a 15.1 hand horse?

Most blanket manufactures tell you to measure from the center of the chest to the center of the tail, to get the size.

get string or seamstress tape and measure from th emiddle of your horses chest to the point of hip (the butt cheek on the same side as your measuring) does that make sense????
