Just wanted to share! We're down in FL and it got so hot so fast this year 2 of our mares in the barn, (the 2 that work a little more than the others), lost patches of hair when they blew their coat. The patches are small, smooth, not allergies, or ever irritated, it's literally just from the heat. My main mare lost it around her flank area and my other on her chest; they're both still fed well, have good clean water, etc. I'm a vet tech so when I got to work I was talking to my vet about it and had my dad go to the barn and send me pics (I NEVER think to take pics of stuff lol, hence the lack of before and after)! She looked a the pics and told me to rinse them every evening and put coconut oil on the spots, as unrefined as possible. Well this mama went and got organic, cold pressed, unrefined, raw coconut oil at lunch and went to put it on them the same evening. This was about 2 weeks ago. I have had a sick baby so I haven't been able to do it every day, my dad's supposed to but I'm the daughter of a dying breed over here, (AKA "throw them some water and leave them out in the pasture. They'll take care of themselves"), I'm lucky if she even gets her feed in the right rations when he feeds so I can't swear it's been every day. There's already regrowth! Healthy, shiny regrowth :) Just a quick, easy, fairly inexpensive trick!

Of course I only wash my face with hemp oil and I remove all my eye makeup with coconut oil, (Used to wash my face with that too until I researched a little, it's not right for my skin). My skin is SO MUCH healthier from that so I shouldn't have needed a vet to tell me that! lol
