My horse has really started to become confident in himself running barrels this summer and his style has changed, I dare say for the better, and has went from a free runner into a type of middle horse. He's not super ratey but I do have to push him past his barrels before we turn them, almost like Jackie Gander and her Cartel horse, otherwise he feels crowded. Most of the horses I've owned were more like free runners or automatic, where I basically just sat there, and I'm not quite sure how to really ride him besides kiss to him more. Are there any drills, videos or tips out there for a horse like this (heck I'll even take videos/tips for a ratey horse). Also, does anyone get their horse "worked up" before a run so they fire off a little better?
