I see a lot of posts about wide horses and saddle fit, but my horse is fairly narrow. What saddles are more suited to the thoroughbred built horse?

Lm special! Want mine? It doesn't fit my paint mare but fit a leaner appendix I was leasing like a glove

I have a 7" gullet crown c for sale, BHW ad # is listed below. I purchased it for my deceptively built horse. He's appendix, narrow through the shoulder and appeared narrow elsewhere. We worked with a Martin fitter at BRF and decided an 8" gullet worked better on him; bought one, so the 7" has got to go.

Would negotiate on price or accept it over a few payments, would really like to get it off my credit card before this billing cycle is over...

Thanks for your replies. I already have a LM special but my chiro said it is a little wide, to maybe try a 1 inch pad. However I want to find a saddle that really fits him. In South Texas it is hard to find a saddle fitter. I love your Crown C but unfortunately I need a larger seat. I ride in a 14.5. I know I need to just go ahead and find a reputable saddle fitter. Does anyone know if they have a good one at D & D in Seguin?

No problem; I rode in a 15" until this saddle and most other 14"s feel way too small. Just a thought if you get a chance to sit in one. I ride a wider gullet now, I would go up a seat size if I ever go an wider, but that's pretty common that people do that.

Unfortunately I'm not in the south. Call Martin, they know where their fitters are located at.

My 4 year old is a tall, racy, thin build right now and the 7" crown c works great on her. I seriously love how it rides. The Meleta saddle is a little big, but still works with a thicker pad, and I think she will grow into that one. I love the shoulder flare on it.

Caldwell TG or Rocket. In my opinion, there's no better barrel racing saddle tree out there for the thoroughbred build. Caldwell's website has a ton of info too!
