I used a renyolds slow cooker liner in my nesco roaster yesterday to roast a chicken and I came home to find the plastic liner stuck/melted to the inside of the pot! It seems to be permanently bonded and ruined my cooker. I tried scrubbing it off and it won't come off. I also tried filling the pot with water and melting it off but it still it stuck on there! Now I am contacting Nesco to either get a replacement cookwell insert or I will have to buy a whole new one and I just bought it in February! AHHHH! Just want to give out a warning!

I don't know what a nesco roaster is but I use those liners in my crockpots all the time and have never had that problem.  Sorry your roaster is ruined. Does it get hotter than a normal crockpot maybe?

Crockpot liners are for crockpots not electric roaster. Beware of the liner for electric roasters because I had melt in my electric roaster, had to go and buy a new insert. I won't use the liners for electric roasters any more.

Like another poster said, they aren't designed for roasters. I would think the temperature would be greater in a roaster than a crockpot, which would cause them to melt.

I use the liners all the time in my crockpot and never had a problem. Sorry that you did.

yeah guess i missed the fine print on the box about not using with roasters. when i google searched there were reports of the liners melting when the regular crock pots were on high, so everyone be careful about those too! yes i guess the roasters get too hot. I just assumed those liners were like oven bags and they would take the heat.... I wonder if an overn bag would work? i'm too scared to try that now LOL! I had to order a replacement cookwell for the Nesco. I really like the Nesco's better than a crock pot, they can be on low 200 deg. or up higher like 400-450 deg...

Maybe you could take a heat gun i would take it outside put that heat gun and a scruffy pad you may get it off or put in oven at about 400 degrees.

There are liners for the big electric roasters, but they suggest that you put a cup of water in the roaster and then put the liner on top of the water. The water get hot and creates steam which keeps it from sticking to the sides. Sorry, no help to remove the stuck on liner.

Can you fill it with water and put a dryer sheet in it? It might help dunno. Some times it works on really nasty pots.

I doubt an oven roasting bag would work either without doing the water buffer thing.  Direct contact with a very hot surface is different than being surrounded by hot air.
