Location: Oklahoma | Ice Horse Ice Boots. I rehabbed a mare for a client that had 22 months of stall rest. She is a multiple world champion western pleasure mare. After every ride the mare to this day still gets her ice boots. It helped and I am a believer! |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | NutraWOUND is a top feed supplement for injuries. I have my gelding on it right now.
I also am a big believer in PHT, I would like to also try Back On Track, but don't have any at the moment.
Runners Relief poultice is now a MUST HAVE in my barn. I really think it works like magic.
I also bought Iconclast rehab boots for when I start to take him for walks and when I get to ride him again. I really feel he will always be in them when under saddle except for at a show.
Here is a website where I found the Runners Relief and Iconoclast the cheapest. They also sell BOT and have A+++ customer service.

Location: Oklahoma | I've read many great things about the RR, but haven't had my ultrasound yet to see how much help it's been. My gelding would NOT let me do a full wrap and when you're the only person to do everything it was impossible for me to do all the steps, so all I could do was slather it on and let it be. Besthorsegear is GREAT to work with and had the best prices.
I'm doing BOT wraps and shockwave sessions for my horse's suspensory inflammation. We go for our checkup in two weeks and I'm really excited/hopeful for the results.
I have a friend that just became a certified massage therapist and says that she has a massage that helps with injuries like these. I believe Cross Fiber Friction is what it's called. I will ask my vet about that and if he gives me the "okay" I will schedule one of those. I'm curious if anyone else has heard of/had one done before.
And he'll stay in his Iconclasts. I did have him fronts, but not backs... now that it's his back leg I'll be ordering some of the extra tall hinds. |

I'm really interested inRunner's Relief. Â Does it work?Â
I could be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that RR have a money back guarantee. You apply it 6 days a week for 12 hours a day. It is easy to goop on and super easy to wash off. I just keep a bucket next to the stall and dip my hands in in the evening and run it down his legs until it comes off. About 2 minutes. It says to wrap with cotton, plastic and then a standing wrap. I don't use the plastic, but re use the cotton 2-3 times and then get a fresh piece. Do this for 6 days and then give a day off. Mine is an unknown stretched ligament, vet never said which one.
I can't say what started to heal it. He had been on NutraWOUND since I suspected something in July, he was injured in April, diagnosed in Aug and put on corral rest and I started to wrap with RR Sep 16th. His only symptoms were dragging hind toes and sometimes pointing his left toe and if he walked really slow he would land toe to heal. By the 1st week of Oct he was not pointing his toe anymore. By the mid of Oct he was no longer landing toe to heel. He still drags his hind toes when he is just walking slow and the other day I took him for a walk and he was clicking bad with hind toes hitting the front, but he is over due for getting those hind feet trimmed. But he was at least getting those hind legs up under him.
You do the poultice for 90 days and then have the vet re-evaluate. I will always keep NutraWOUND and Runners Relief around. I am impressed with each. |

I think you are the one that first posted about besthorsegear.com! That saved me a bundle. I also ordered the Iconoclast rehab boots. How do you use yours? or are you waiting until you start to ride again? I was hoping I could use his when he doesn't have RR on, but they are too hot and I guess I will save them for when we start to ride him again. I plan to always ride him in them unless we are in a show. |

I hear about BHG.com on here! lol I'm all about saving $$!
I only use my Iconclasts when I'm riding faster than a walk! I do not have the rehab boots, so I'm not familiar with them at all. I just have the support boots that I use when I'm riding. |
