Easy fix - Sit down.

Just kidding (kind of). What do you mean by "no stop"? Like runaway-type no stop or ?

Cowhorse saddles generally have a bigger seat than barrel saddles.  You might not have enough room to sit deep. If you're riding a barrel saddle that is too tight and tips you forward, the horse can't feel the difference when you're asking him to stop.

I will also add, sometimes a cowhorse also is trained to put your legs forward as you scoot, or sit deep on your pockets for the stop.

I second pushing your feet forward to help roll your hips back and sit down.

This.. another way of thinking about it is to flex your abs and push them out thru the back. This cause the hips to push down and go forward and the lower back to go backwards

put your feet out front and sit on your pockets and you will probably need to ride more with your legs. I have one that had 18 months reining trainging and was shown working cowhorse it took me a while to figure her out but she has all the bells and whistles and she is now my favorite to ride.

Try pushing down in your sturrips it will alow them to move forward just a bit and role your back down to sit "deep on your pockets"

in a large circle at the trott say whoa push down and stop, repete several times in the circle taking 8-10 strides at the trott. it will help if you do it for 5 whole minutes a few days a week  (don't pick up on your reins till u have sat down) you want to reinforce the "rate" of using your seat. sounds like you bought a well tained horse
