How does everyone wash their boots?? I usually wash mine with a scrubbing brush, soap, water and a bucket and leave them on the fence to dry, but dang that takes forever! Does anyone wash theirs in the washing machine and then use the dryer??

I've never used a dryer to dry mine and would think the heat would cause them to break down faster or shrink/melt. I don't have good luck with dryers.

I have an old washer in my barn that I use. Picked it up from someone in town who was upgrading, paid $100 for it. My mom won`t let me use her good one in the house because all the dirt and hair would wreck it. Its so handy, I can throw all of my splint and bell boots in it and they all come out clean. I just hang them on a fence to dry. I wash my winter blankets in it too but I can only wash one at a time so that takes a while. I usually throw some disinfectant in with everything just to kill anything that was dormant through the winter.

I spray mine down with a bleach/water mix on the inside to kill bacteria, then spray the outside with set in stain remover. Let them sit for an hour or so then throw them in the washer. Hang dry only.

I have...and it has ruined them. The warranty will not cover boots put through the washer/dryer. Just an fyi having been there done that.

Put mine in the washer in the barn and then hang in the wash rack.

Most of the time I just hose them off after use and hang to dry. But sometimes they are very dirty, and I will put them in the washer with a bit of the anti-fungal stuff they sell for horse blankets and then hang them out to dry.

Spray them with Scotch Guard before you ever use them the first time and they will clean easier and wont stain as bad
