| Horse #1----- 8 yr old Cowbred, has not been consistently hauled but clocks in the 2D. Very gritty and cowy. Good minded and broke just needs seasoned more and could be a 1D horse.
Horse #2------8 yr old Appendix, has not been consistently hauled, needs some work because of previous owners. Needs to soften up and give to the bit. Could make a 1D horse after putting some time into but needs work and seasoned.
What would you pay for these horses if you were to purchase?? |

Location: LA Lower Alabama | Ok ill be the meany weany. $5000 for the appendix assuming light maintenance required and most people could ride it. $8000 for the 2D assuming light maintenance and most could ride it. Add $1000 to either if kid/hubby safe. Add $1000 if you got both in tip top shape or fixed the ones issue.

| Honesty is not mean lol. I was hoping someone would give an honest opinion on both. I agree and think that the cow bred is worth more then the appendix.
Neither numbers you said are close to what the sellers price but I personally felt that they were a bit high. I would love to hear what others say!! |

Location: MI | I agree around cowgsissys numbers. Also, I won't pay for 'may be 1D' or '1D potential'. I'd rather make my own assessment when I meet the horse.
Eta-depends on the 2D races as well...# entries, # times, etc.

Location: Dubach, LA | I seriously don't think you'd get 8K for either around here. Maybe 3500-5000 if they are dog gentle, have color and/or have decent papers. I think most people looking for prospects are looking for younger horses. That's just me, though. |

Common Sense and then some
Location: So. California | 2D where and with how many riders/club level? small pattern or standard? Kid safe? A solid step up horse? Maintenance issues?
Is the appendix a mare or gelding? Pedigree? How broke is this horse? |

| The cow bred is for sure kid safe and has been used as a lesson horse. The appendix has all the buttons just needs a refresher. Previous owner hung on his face so he needs to learn it's ok to soften up. The appendix does well in larger pens. Three bars, easyJet and easily smashed are on his papers. |

Location: Canada | Where I live you may get $6000-8000 (higher end for youth suitable) for Horse 1 with stats showing where they're hitting in the 2D. For Horse 2 you'd get around $3500-$4000
