I have a hackamore that the rubber is rotted out on the nose piece. It was a solid circle piece, you must have to take the hackamore apart to replace it, but where do you find the replacement rubber to buy?

Do you have a picture???

If it needs to cover a metal nose piece ....
get you some clear tubing at a hardware store ..
slit it with a razorblade ...
slip it over the nose piece
wrap with a soft tape to hold in place ..
do not use vet leg wraps .. they will scarf his nose

I'll get a picture but it's actually a bicycle chain under the rubber

If you have a saddle or shoe repair shop in your town ..

Ask them to sew or lace a piece of russet or shoe tongue leather on the chain ..
stitching or lacing will be on the top side of chain ... trim off the scrap ...
and you are good to go ...

Keep it treated with neatsfoot oil to protect it from sweat and keep it soft ..

You can wrap the chain with black electrical tape.

When I had a rubber peice rot off I just bought the softest rubber tube I could find in the hardware store and slit it long ways and sliped it over the chain and then got electrical tape and wraped the rubber tube with it. Now adays you can get the tape in different colors, lol.. I have another hack that I'm going to have to replace the rubber peice on soon, But dont take you hack apart you may never it get back together again for it to be safe..
