| I was curious as to what the exact numbers are in the “proprietary herbal blend” so I called the company and was told that they do t give out that information, it’s kept a secret.
Looking for input. I ordered it anyways, but don’t like that they won’t release the info.
Thoughts???? |

| I personally wouldn’t use something that was a secret. It would be interesting to send a sample in and have it tested. |

| I have wondered the same thing this past year. I did try the gel tubes as a preventative last season and saw no results on my 2 while hauling/stressed. I went back to Ulcerguard on race weekends |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | Here is the deal. Nutracuedical companies use natural ingredients. Some better quality than others. If they gave out the amount of every ingredient, any Joe Blow could create the same product. Where would that leave the company and their business. Most, at least I know THE, will give certain ones if you ask for them. But again, if they listed all the ingredients amounts, they wouldn't be a company any more. I don't know what Gastroplex is, but I have personally called any other companies I have found that are competitors for THE and none will give a detailed list for the reasons I gave. I did this because THE was singled out once like they were keeping a secret. Far from it.

Thank you.
GastroPlex is made by MVP and I can assure you there are no secrets. Look at all of the other labels by the company; every ingredient and amount per serving is listed. I wouldn't get bent out of shape because they have a proprietary blend on one product.
ETA: I was sold on MVP products because of GastroPlex. It made a night and day difference in my husbands horse and have since incorporated it into the feeding routine of many of my others.

Location: Illinois | Can't blame them for not wanting to give out all info for others to duplicate their product. That would be stupid business on their part. I fully stand behind MVP. I've tried everything under the sun for ulcers and Gastro-Plex is the only one that made an impact. I had a horse climbing on top of vehicles to get away from the gate and now he goes in like a rocket. My senior chronic colic horse is on it and (knock on wood) hasn't coliced since he started. Normally he's tubed 3-4 times a year by the vet. So I personally will probably never stray from the product. It's something I use daily with pellets and paste when I go somewhere on top of it. It's not going to be some magic cure all for each horse, I know some that do fine just getting a tube when they go somewhere, but that wouldn't work for mine. I had to play around with it on mine for about 2 months before I figured out what worked the best on him. |
