The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found? ~ J. B. Priestley

Thanks. I snapped it with my phone camera on the way home from work before they could move and mess up the shot. I posted it on FB and a few peeps think it would look good as an oil painting. I'm inspired now to take my good camera out in the morning to possibly get some better shots. This was just on a whim to stop and take this one. |

Thanks! Yes, it's on our homeplace here in the Texas Panhandle. We are like the forgotten Siberian Stepchildren up here in the winter because we get all the snow that South Texas doesn't (and wishes for sometimes). |

She is very much so. I've always said if there was ever a horse built like me, with the same personality, attitude and body as me, it would be her. I love her to death but she is as hard-headed and *****y at times as I am. She likes drinking beer to. I'm going to start sorting on her this next Spring. She is out of some good stock that a friend of mine owns and breeds and I need to get her registered (she was a gift) and while she is actually a paint, she takes after her sire so much it's scary (and she made a mini-me = my "son" Ren).

I'm not too far away from there -- have one of my law offices there in fact. Yes, it does get cold because we have the wind that has nothing to stop it coming down off of the Rockies and racing East and nothing to stop the snow either. |
