Look into Triple creeks, they are nice and very affordable |

| The best value on saddles is the one that fits the horse. I know that's not what you are asking, but it's true.
Look at Corriente. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | How old is your daughter and what size saddle do you need? There are a lot of good deals on used Shiloh saddles. The quality is good for the price and they ride really nice. My daughter is in an older Allen Ranch that I picked up for $400, and I went ahead and bought her a used Shiloh (Jerri Mann) for $500 for when she outgrows her A.R. |

Exactly what I was going to suggest. I would also look at Teskey's and Ed Wright's. |

| Anymore it seems like it is dang near impossibe to find a good quality saddle under $1000. You can find an older well used one, but it seems like those that are worth the money sell fairly quick. I know that they are out there, but heck, look at the for sale items on here. Very few are under the $1,000 mark.
Not trying to hijack your thread, but I am honestly looking for the same thing as you are.... |

Location: Kansas | I really liked my cactus, it was similar to the brandie halls style. It had a nice deep seat which held me in, and it fit my mare. I now have a custom made saddle by R Bar B (scott thomas builds their saddles) I spent $1,600 on it brand new because I chose lots of options...but they sell brand new saddles on the floor for $700-$1,000 and they ship :) |

I agree Shiloh's are a great value. I have one I really like. It's funny you said Allen ranch too , I just bought one from a friend that is 15 or so years old but taken care of. It's in great shape and I only gave 500 for it. |

Yep, when you see a deal, you better jump on it, which is why I bought the 12" saddle we don't actually need yet. I've seen them go in under an hour and it's common to sell the same day they're posted. |

That Allen Ranch is one of the few 10" saddles I've seen that actually sits a kid correctly. And the tree fits a horse. Her saddle is in rough shape, God knows how old it is, but it works. |

| Thanks for the replies, im trying to get the brand and size of her current saddle. I just remember it being really cheap and that was years ago when she was running pretty slow and we weren't sure how she would progress with barrel racing.
