Saw this on FB, and thought I would share:

Sad, these horses are not selling with their papers. I wonder if AQHA would allow hardship papers with DNA matches???

Have no idea but I doubt if anything has been registered in years.  One of the articles states his AQHA membership was revoked in 2006.  The cattle were sold today I believe.  There might be a few diamonds in the rough though...

The claim on the local new is that 100 head are at the Tulsa Stockyards to be sold at Thursdays monthly horse sale.  They sold his cattle Monday, the news clip said he got the money for the cattle and he had paid the bill for the care of them by the ranch that took them in.
I know it has been said that the AQHA kicked him out of the association in 2006.   So not sure about the paper situation of these animals.
Breaks my heart to think what will happen to them.  They have already been thru so much.  This man had loads of hay and equipment to handle it, and none out for animals.  He  said in an interview yesterday he didn't  think he had done anything wrong.  He sat and watched the cattle sell.  Just a sad deal...

I agree. It is really upsetting and sad when they sell these siezed horses like this. On a weekday at the local horse auction further putting them in more danger. I fear most will go to slaughter and through no fault of their own. Let down by man yet again.

My fear also.   They part I did not get was he got the money...   Just a crazy world.  Right now.  I know the cattle had the priveledge of bieng sold at the very first of the sale Monday.  The rancher who had taken them in bought several momma's and babies.  But we all know horses are different.  Prayers that something good will happen for them.

From what I gather these horses have all been running loose and have had no breeding management.  I can't imagine what sort of inbred mess you may end up with...  They'll all sell on Thursday night and from what I gather he will get the proceeds from the sale.  He's already settled up with the ranch that has been caring for them.

None of the horses will be papered.  I doubt any of them will even be halter broke.

Absolutely Rachellyn80.  They have been unmanaged for years and it is very sad.  I had heard that this is not the first time horses and cattle had ben gatherred off  his place.   I think it was 10 or so years ago.   You have to wonder...  Still sad...

I wish OK wasnt so far away. I would take a risk on one of them. I hate seeing horses suffer like this because of their owners lack of responsibility.

From what I've heard and what has been shown on the news, very few of them are actually in poor condition.  I'm sure there are still a few that will need some TLC, but otherwise they aren't technically "suffering".
