Yes my husband is a therapist for children and adolescents, and they've used it for clients who've been through trauma.

Yes a friend who has dealt with trauma that you wouldn't wish on your own worst enemy is doing EMDR now. She says it works great but you move through the trama quicker because it is using both sides of your brain. She typicallyis very down the next day bbecause of it, but it does wwork.

Thank you for the replies.  I've decided I'm going to try it.  I go May 20 to set it up.  I'm excited and nervous at the same time.  I just want this to be over and get it out of my head!!!!!

Glad you are giving it a try! From what I remember you will be asked to think about (or remember) the
traumatic event and then the therapist will have you do the eye movement part. I am sure there is more
to it than this but it does work.
