What is your favorite on the underside of a saddle pad; fleece or felt?

Fleece. When we have the rare low humidity day and static electricity is in the air, my horse tells me it is a fleece day. It seems to be more comfortable and I 'think' he sweats less with a fleece.

I have switched over to the felt.  But either works.  Personal preference.

After researching the facts regarding heat and pressure dispersion, absorbancy, etc. felt is something I would never use again for a saddle pad. Real sheepskin is the way to go.

Can you message me your sources, I am interested in reading about it.

Felt is horrible. I like either fleece or wool. Felt is rough and soaks up sweat, making it weigh a ton. Iv never had a problem with my wool pad doing that unless you wash it and the fleece will not soak it up and its soft as long as you clean it when it gets dirty.
