Flys on legs

I have seen somewhere before but can not locate again. What are the leg wraps / boot etc that stay up on horses legs to help keep the biting flys off? And where to find?
Thanks.

How do they work? Don't the flys still get in from the top?

Ive seen people cut the toes out of tube socks and use them. I'm not sure if they stay up super good or not but they look like a great cheap option.

Flys are dumb. I have not had an issue with them coming in the top and my horses don't stand around stomping.

I know! You would THINK they would but they don't! Maybe it's the movement that keeps them out of there? I don't know but last year my poor mare would dig to China stomping and this year, her stall is staying level and she is happy
(although she had a fit over the ones for the back legs - I'll either have to work on that or now I have 2 pairs for the front
).

I love mine and it is noticeably different when you look out into the pasture on those that do have them on and those that don't.

Google fly boots for horses. There are waaaay better boots than those, with velcro strips to keep them on and fur around the top to keep the flies from crawling in.

Use electrical tape to tape them on.
