We stayed at the Stanley Hotel.  One thing to remember is that the older part of the hotel does not have air conditioning.  It cools off at night though.  Just to see the park and ride around in it for a couple of days is wonderful.  Also, to sit in one of the restaurants on the river.

Trout fishing in Estes, the hiking is awesome, you will see herds of wild elk, sheep, coyotes, deer.  The deer will stand right next to you.  They have a trail riding stable.  There was an awesome place to eat where you picked out your meat and their bread was to die for.  Estes also has alot of micro brewery's that are interesting.

I'm from Cheyenne. I can't think of a single thing to go there for other than Frontier Days. I mean I love the place, but it doesn't offer much in the ways of shopping, tourist stuff etc. They do have an old Museum at Frontier Park. Some fishing etc. If I were out to take in the sights, I would stick to Estes Park

In Estes Park, I would recommend the 'Green Jeep Tour'. They take you on a Jeep ride through the park. The driver/guide knows the history and the scenic spots that aren't on the main highway.

In Estes, the park is great, and just shopping around downtown is so fun, along the creek is beautiful! Rock Cut Brewery is fun if you are into trying different beer! Twin Owls is a great steakhouse. Can't go wrong really with anything there!

The Old West Museum at Frontier Park in Cheyenne is a very nice rodeo museum.  They have fixed up the old train station in in Cheyenne into a railroad museum, I have not seen it but understand it was well done.  The Terry Bison Ranch south of Cheyenne is an interesting tour if you are interested in learning about buffalo.

Estes has an awesome mini putt putt golf course as you come into town coming up from Loveland. Just driving through Tocky Mountain National Park is great too. Plus all the local elk. Just don't get too close as they should be in rut at anytime now

I'm staying with my brother in Estes so I have a personal guide. We are hunting for part of my visit and just hanging out.

Cheyenne, that's just a stop to visit a friend of my dad's. I thought I'd go sight see while they catch up.

I leave tomorrow, can't wait!

When in Cheyenne, go to the Wrangler western wear store, the musuems are great, find all of the cowboy boots through town! And you must eat at Sandford & Sons.
