Just looking for some extra comfort i can add to a horse that has super thin soles, we've had issues with his shoeing and finally got him on the right track. just wanting to see what i can do to make him as comfortable as possible.

he's currently in pads so i can't pack his hooves, and when we're hauling, he is in his cloud boots. I was thinking of buying some PHT bell boots to leave him turned out in?

Any pre/post race things you'd do id love to hear! Keeping him happy is my main goal :)

He will never get tough soles or a thicker sole as long as the pads are used.
Get the pads off and apply Dura Sole and be careful to keep off rocks and hard ground for a year possibly.

I was just thinking this.

Apply Jim Rickens also be aware of thrush, especially if you are using pads.

Hemaflo (Platinum) or OE Hoof Solution will help blood supply to his foot, there by helping him grow foot. Without good blood flow to the foot, he can’t utilize just a regular hoof supplement.

Diet is important as well as being able to move about as a horse.  Horses use to roam a lot as is natural to the horse and their health.
This improves blood flow feet and gut and more.

What she said... and I just wanted to ad.. it all starts at the hoof, and I swear takes forever to get them where you want them when there is an issue... But I would bet you will notice a difference in  3-4 months but that the year part... is probably pretty darn accurate...
I had one with TERRIBLE feet and it took me a good year to have awesome hooves... but rome wasn't built in a day...

I think this would be a major help in your problem.Use pure D L Methionine, you can Google it and get it on line.only need 1 tsp a day, along with biotin Use for 6 months straight. At that time you may never need to shoe again. Makes for a strong healthy hoof.

I have had success with a product called HoofArmour. I haven't re-x-rayed yet, but plan to do so soon. Been using it about 6 mo. and my thin soled horse has no sensitivity now. It is applied to the sole; protects the sole, allowing it to thicken (not wear away). So far, I think it is worth the $ and effort to apply it.

Adding Hemp oil, Hemp meal or Alfalfa to the diet helps giving the horse a superior natural diet.  Go to FB and then to North American Hemp Products to learn more and to order.

I have one that I try to ice his front feet before/after we run. Seems to make him feel quite a bit better especially if we're somewhere with a lot of concrete he has to walk on or be stalled on.
