Location: somewhere in the south | I'm thinking about getting either an ipad mini or a kindle fire...........something to read with and more . Which one would be better? Can you download books on the ipad and can you go online with the kindle.............I don't really know which would be more beneficial????? I read some and would like to read more but I don't necessarily only want the device to read with, what else (not interested in games and such) can the kindle do? |

Location: north dakota | I pad mini. I looked at getting my kids a tablet and the info on the Internet said unless your mostly going to use it for amazon apps get an ipad. You can download the kindle app on the ipad. My kids love them. I read all my ebooks on my iPhone through the kindle app. The only thing I can't do is borrow books from other kindle owners. |

| My Kindle was "ok". I LOVE my Nexus 7 though...LOVE it! I have a Kindle app, an Audible App, a Nook app, and can do a LOT more on it than I ever could on my Kindle. |

Location: MN | I have an iPad p, love it! I have bought books from amazon but I mostly download books from my library. My library is linked with other libraries so lots of selections. I use Overdrive to download books, it has a lot of neat options. My hubby says. I don't have many apps downloaded so I'm not using my iPad to its fullest. I love my iPad! |

Location: Phoenix | I love my iPad mini. But I use more for Internet, Facebook, online banking and organizing myself. I have bought books and read them on here, but I prefer a physical book more. |

| My font on an ipad is cursive. People hate that. I am sure there is a way to adjust the ipad so it won't do that. My font on every other device is nice print and easy to read. |
