Those of you who have been frustrated when trying to get Renew Gold in Texas and Oklahoma will now have the option of getting it from one of 250 Tractor Supply stores in those two states. Though it is now on their order list, it may not be stocked in all stores. However, it can be ordered and put into inventory if you request them to do so. The RG product number for Tractor Supply is 1054391. While we remain committed to the benefit of Renew Gold being stocked in independent feed stores, this step in product availability, though somewhat more complicated, fills a lot of holes for people wanting RG in this region.

Tractor Supply in Waco, TX sold out their inventory of Renew Gold in one morning. More is on the way to the Texas Distribution Center on Friday. Some stores will stock this right away based on requests that they have had from their customers. Others will initially order by request from customers and move to stock Renew Gold when those requests justify the use of shelf space. The change here is that it will now be kept in stock at their distribution center and is a simple order for any of the 250 stores in Texas, Oklahoma or Louisiana to add to their regular deliveries from their warehouse.

What about Arkansas Tractor Supplies?  Or is through K&K in Tontitown, AR still our best bet?

In Arkansas K&K is responsible for distribution. We are trying to expand their efforts in that area, and hope to be back there to support the stores in the next few weeks.

1lb a day sure doesn't seem like much. I think my horse thinks there's a problem. I had a mare start cribbing when I cut her feed back when I weaned her filly. It aggregated her so much she wasn't getting as much hay.

As to one pound per day, the horse can't count. They know if they are satisfied or not though. Feeding more hay is a good thing. When the modern horse was evolving, there was no place that they ate pounds of concentrates in their diet. The digestive system will be satisfied if there is a source of forage to keep them that way. That is the advantage of pasture or slow feeding hay. While performance horses need more available energy than horses under less demanding use, providing that energy in a way that disrupts the systems natural function in the least possible way is always more efficient, safe and effective.
