Location: Texas | I'm thinking about getting another small dog. I lost my Hannah a while back. She was a Shih Tzu, sweetest little dog. She was hurt way too young and I miss her like crazy. But I really don't want another long haired dog. She loved to chill out with me but she also found such joy just playing with her toys and in life. I want another dog like that. I've been doing some research and Bostons seem to possibly fit that bill. I realize all dogs are individuals, but maybe, just maybe??? |

Location: Texas | Happy, boisterous, energetic and smart. Mine runs like a bullet across the yard when I let her out, but she minds well and comes when I call her. Not cuddly but will sit next to you quietly. Snores. They are little bundles of sunshine.
Another small dog that is fun is a rat terrier. A little less hyper, but still a great little companion. |

Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | I was told my little dog is part Boston. When she is shaved you can really see it in her. She has one little white spot on her chest but moves so much like a Boston it would be hard to believe she didn't have some in her somewhere.
She doesn't snore loud but she does snore. She likes to talk and will let you know when she doesn't like something. She is my little cuddle bug and wants to be near me 90% of the time. She will sleep on the bath mat while I am taking a shower every night.
She has very fine hair and does shed. We were told she was part Yorki so it may come from that. If Boston's are anything like her I would like a full blooded one some day. |

Location: Idahome | Super neat dogs. My parents have had two in the past, both rescues. They have their own personality and are very sweet and playful. They do shed, but it is the short fine hair. If you live where it gets very warm, you need to be careful because the don't do well in extreme heat due to being brachycephalic (smashed face). They need to be kept cool in the summers. |

Location: Montana | We love our's! He's a little crazy, and obnoxious, and boisterous, and independent, but we wouldn't have him any other way. He's such a lover and a cuddler too, and he thinks he's part of the family and at minimum part human if not full, LOL. Here's a pic I just took of him the other day "relaxing." LOL. I believe if you got one, you'd love one. However, they don't have any sense when it comes things like cars and traffic, so you have to keep them on a leash or a close eye on them when out of the house or yard.

Location: MD | our neighbors have one. She is seriously the best little dog. She's VERY small compared to most. I love her little piggy squeals!
She loves to hang out at the farm, shes really great with all small farm animals. She stays out of the way of the big ones. She really doesn't care about other dogs, just want someone to pick her up and love on her :)
At the same time she does have a problem with excessive heat and cold. she needs booties and coats in the winter. In the summer she overheats pretty easily, we do leave a pool out for her when she comes by and she'll jump in and out when she wants, and we also leave out a fan in the barn for the dogs to sit in front of. But she does spend the vast majority of the hot summer days inside. Which stinks because I love when she comes over to hang out with us! |

Location: N C | Love them and would have ten if I could. They are indoor only because they can't withstand extreme heat or cold but they are the best snugglers and they love their people. They each have their own personalities. Some are hyper and some are laid back sweeties. We have had 3, still have two.Mine is my baby!!!!They are not hard to train but they are very sensitive so they take gentle guidance. |

Location: Texas | They sound so neat. I'm in Texas so I would have to watch the heat. My Hannah was such a little clown. Fortunately we aren't aren't around areas with many if any cars. So that's good. I love all the stories. |

So true! My Boston sometimes snores so loud he wakes me up (he sleeps at the foot of my bed). It is kind of funny...unless you are awakened at 3 in the morning by a snoring dog, LOL. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | We love them and if we were younger we would have a herd of them. She makes us laugh every day.
Ours weighs a little under 20 pounds and rules the house over the Australian Cattle Dog and the American Staffordshire Terrier. She sheds very little and is a very clean dog. She can be very demanding but it keeps us young. |
