Apparently video cameras don't ride very well on the trailer fender so ours didn't make it home with us.  I need to get a new one but it's been years since I shopped for one.  Which one do you use and why do you like it?

I guess your camera needed more ground work. Ha
I don't have one ether but am interested in the responses.

So many people now use their phones or tablets to film but I don't the picture quality is as good as a video camera.

I still have and use my old Sony handycam. It's the type with that uses the mini dv cassettes. Yes, the cell phones and tablets take pretty good video, but I use my camera still during holidays. I set it up, hit record and let it go. Edit the video on the computer later. I have an extra I could sell you *really* cheap. I just need to make the time to put it on eBay.

I bought a little Sony handycam 2 years ago. Yes the ipads and phones can video, but you can't zoom in and when you play it back on the computer it still is a smaller screen. You can watch the video from the handycam on full screen and it won't be grainy.
The handycam I have has a USB cable attached, so you can plug it directly in the computer and copy your files to the hard drive. Very easy, and again, much better quality.

I think I have the same camera- little blue Sony Handycam with internal memory and a built in USB.  It's so easy to upload videos, and like others say, the quality is so much better.  I want to say mine was like $250, but it's several years old.

I'll be the odd one and say that I didn't care for the Sony Handycam that I had. This was several years ago, so I'm sure that they have made upgrades to them since then. I bought a JVC Everio 5 years ago or so and love it. Very, very easy to use and easy to explain to whoever I can con into videoing for me. Lol. Camcorders may all be like this anymore, but I would be sure to get something with a SD card as it makes it so easy to upload to my computer.

I use my iPhone 6S Plus and I love it.

I have apple TV so I can watch it on the big screen if I want to and it's not grainy. I can easily post or send my videos if I need to. I have thought about getting a real camera, but it's the convenience of using something I'm going to have with me anyways that I like about using my phone.

If I want top quality video I use my husband's Canon Rebel. It's kind of bulky but the video quality is spectacular. I've been considering going & getting an inexpensive little digital video camera though.

We've had a Sony Handycam also (couldnt tell you what model) and they work great.

I'm tired of my videos being taken on my iphone or ipad. The quality just sucks. Unfortunately it's just too convenient because sometimes you forget the video camera at the trailer and don't want to walk all the way back to get it. I don't like leaving video cameras up at the stalls either....
