Location: The best kept secret in TX | I like the square corners. Different. I'm really curious why there is in skirt rigging on the back and drop down rigging in the front? I feel like it should be switched or one or the other. In skirt rigging lets you really snub down your saddle on your horse. Ropers and anyone looking to pull something heavy like this rigging. Weird to see it on a the back housing of a barrel saddle. Would be different if it were on the front too. I could understand someone wanting to snub one down before a run, but you can't with this set up... Odd... |

Location: Georgia | Im curious to know about the quality of the new ones and how they ride. If they kind of keep you tilted forward on your pelvis or if they allow you to sit on your pocket with your feet in front of you.

Just looking at it and how far back the stirrups are set, it LOOKS like it will tip you forward |

Yeah I noticed that as well. I plan to change the rigging around a bit and do a in skirt rigging in the front as well. Then I would either ask them to put the stirrups forward or do the seat rig for the stirrups. |

Oddly enough, I just won a Corriente and have the option of upgrading so I asked about their "new style" today.
They are built on exactly the same tree as the original Corrientes the only difference is the cuts of the leather, like square corners instead of round.
So, they should not ride any differently than the originals. |
