Where are you located? If you are on the West Coast, the Sherry Cervi youth event is coming up, and Dena Kirkpatrick is doing a clinic for two days before that begins. I am doing a nutrition talk for Dena. Dena and Sherry at one location. Two great opportunities for a 15 year old.

I would suggest Kristin Weaver-Brown.

Edited because I didn't tell you why I suggested her! She focuses on horsemanship, does group drills, and then does 1-on-1 where she rides your horse and then gives instruction while you ride. Some people don't like the down-time, but I think you can learn quite a bit from watching her work with the other horses and riders. She's very positive. And you definitely get a work out, me and my horses were exhausted by the end of the clinic!

I loved the Ryan Lovendahl clinic that I attended. He kept them clinics small (12-15 people) and you got a lot of one on one time with him, and he always spoke over a microphone so even when he wasn't helping you, you could hear him helping the person he was with so if you ever have a horse that is having the same problems, you know how to fix it

I just finished a Ryan Lovendahl clinic and I loved it! He and KC are so great with the horses and you get tons of one-on-one time. I also like it because their training methods are simple. Highly recommend it!

I also liked the Kristen Weaver Brown clinic. You also get one-on-one time.

For myself, I "clicked" better with the Ryan clinic so that was my favorite.

I've taken some other clinics too, but I liked these two the best because you got individual attention with your horse. A lot of the other clinics I've taken you've kinda been on your own to do drills in groups, and only the people who had BAD problems were the ones who got attention. I like the one-on-one clinics.

I second Ryan and KC. Very knowledgeable and share all of their "secrets", and hilarious on top of it.

I have heard the same. I plan to audit one he is having here in June. I don't really have a horse to participate.

I second this. I went to my first clinic by her about a month ago. I didn't think there was much down time. I brought a horse that had never been to town and learned a TON. She was so patient, yet knew when to push you. I was exhausted at the end and I unfortunately had to leave early the second day. I would definitely go again. I also liked that she rides your horse too. It really helped me visualize what I needed to do.

I've been to about 5 or 6 of hers. Level 1 and level 2. It NEVER EVER gets old! She is fantastic and has so much talent! She is a fantastic teacher, she really makes you work hard and gets you really feeling good about you and your horse. Molly Powell is fantastic and I believe Marne Loosenort is doing clinics in KY and is also very good.

That's my pick, I'm waiting for him to come back this was on a weekend that works for me!

We had a couple younger riders in my group and some younger greener horses as well - they all got good stuff out of it.
