Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | I’ll make this as short as possible!! Cliffs notes version: I bought a very nice futurity colt as a three year old, he suffered an injury during the slot race at Oklahoma City- yes, his very first run! He spent almost three months at outlaw equine rehabbing and came back 100% sound PHYSICALLY, mentally he was scared out of his mind. He has now basically been turned out being a horse for a year and a half. He’s been a walk in pony, tracked steers out, moved bulls around ANYTHING BUT RUN THE BARRELS! Today is our exhibition debut! This is the most talented colt I’ve ever owned, he’s an own son of Dash Ta Fame out of an own daughter of Tres Seis and is literally too fast for his own good, I just hope he mentally keeps all his eggs in the basket today! |

| Ahh, good luck today! Remember to stay calm yourself! If you're feeling nervous beforehand- get off and walk! You got this!

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | HE WAS A CHAMP!!! He’s still a little saucy, but focused now! He’s never going to be the kind that you go to the barrel race and pleasure ride on!! His mother was an AQHA world champion and she was always a little on the wirey side! But it was a different energy today, he wasn’t scared. He exhibitioned very calm and relaxed. Luckily our exhibitions are relaxed enough that I was able to take him back in and step off in the alley and let him take a deep breath after I took him through. I’m excited to see that his hiatus did him some good and can’t wait to start dragging him along with me again. I seriously love this big guy so much. After the year I’ve had- between losing my dad, the health problems with my mom and all else; I needed him to come back. God knew I needed 40 as much as he needed me! Thank you guys for thinking about us today! |
