What takes the black streaks off the white skin but doesn't turn your regular alum white?

I'm curious too.  I normally take mine to the local truck stop and take it to the truck wash.

I have found that several truck washes have switched to an "all natural" wash. Great for the environment but it doesn't work near as well as acid. My BIL owns a trucking company and I just let him handle it. I'll have to get the names of his product.

I have used SnoBowl (yes toilet bowl cleaner) before and it worked pretty good (gloves on of course) but the black streaks are still there just dulled... same with the acid if I remember correctly... I had a friend tell me those magic erasers but heck... I like my elbows and don't want to scrub that hard lol... I need a miracle cure that is wax on wax off... never thought of the buffer... but I have one... ;)

I use a product called Purple Power.  It has taken all the black streaks off my trailer.  I just wet it down, spray the product on and wash.  You don't really even need to scrub very hard.

Dawn dish soap and some elbow grease if you want to diy it. Otherwise acid wash will.

If you don't wash it off well it can leave white streaks. I used it and really like the results. However, next time I will have my pressure washer ready as well. The directions say use a pressure washer to rinse, but I just used a hose. It took a lot longer to get it all off with the regular hose. It was the first time I used an acid wash. My mom was my trailer washer for the longest time.
