I got my nickname from the rockies thread. I also miss going to the island.

It has been fun, even the political arguments. I am retired now due to breaking the same ankle for the third time. I now have more metal than bone. Figured it was time to hang it up. But it was my life for 33 years. When I watch a rodeo I can smell the arena, I can feel the feelings you get waiting to go down the alley way, the excitement of bursting into the arena from the alley, the sound of the crowd. So, retirement is not so bad because I can watch a rodeo on TV and relive it all over again. Good times and good memories.

I'm retired also after running barrels for over 40 years. The smell of the rodeo grounds still makes my heart pound.

NTO and Vickie, you made me tear up. I never amounted to anything when it came to barrels, but that look of a fresh arena, without prints....I just want to dive in.
