| Going to see my family in Houston March 15th to 19th! Would like to look at homes and try to get to the rodeo too! Besides that, anyone have any other ideas for fun and eats? |

Location: southeast Texas | Galveston has Moody Gardens, The Strand and a military memorial, cruse ships . Very nice old homes to tour. Kema has good eats, it's on the bay so you can watch boats along the water. What part of Houston? |

Definitely would suggest this! I live in Bryan and can give you a huge list of things to do around here if you get bored at D&D (and they won't take but 10 minutes to drive from one to the other unlike everything in Houston!) |

Location: Colorado plains standing on a goat head! | We took my in-laws to the Space Center and ate in Galveston, fun trip if you run out of things to see at the stock show. Grab some BBQ, there was a Green Door restaurant and Dozier's out west in the Fulshear/Rosenberg area, both great BBQ! (Used to work on a cow outfit in that area, enjoy the swamps and skeeters! ) |

| I can promise you that you won't get bored at Diamonds and Dirt! They have SO MUCH there to offer. They have AGAIN doubled in size from last year. Added a pole bending the weekend of March 7-9 and then march 10-16 is DDBHC
There is over 150 vendors with shopping. K9s4COPS dog demos - live entertainment (last year it was Red stegall and Robert Earl Keane with Jim Croce jr) they always have someone from a big time reality show there signing autographs. it was the swamp people last year. Someone told me they were having duck dynasty this year but I'm not sure. Johny football was there last year as their guest and he was loving the barrel racing
there is wine tastings cooking shows and so much stuff to do
There is truck give aways and most all the pros that run at Houston run here at this race (I would say its about 1.5 hours from Houston) this part of SE/Central TX has Texas A&M (basketball and baseball season) and Blue Bell Ice Cream tours. I think you can call Schiller Ranch and even schedule appointments for tours there in advance.
its hands down the best event in the industry We cannot wait
