I'm heading to Omaha or just south of it to pick up a new trailer... since it's a bit of a drive, thinking of staying the weekend and doing something fun... is there anything fun or unique to do in Omaha that you'd recommend??

I've never been there but have heard the zoo is a pretty good place to go.

If museums interest you I hear the Air & Space Museum there is pretty neat.

Henry Dorley Zoo! It's awesome. There is also a nice museum, good restaurants in the Underground Market area and a baseball team (minor league, I think?).

The zoo..we go every year if not twice a year. Never gets old. Best zoo ever! I love the aquarium and Kingdom of the night. We have family that live in omaha and surrounding areas. I personally love the old market area and Bass pro along the interstate. I also love Lincoln and the Haymarket area..that is so much fun!

The Old Market Place is great. Restaurants, lots of shops, and lots of music. not far from the arena.

Henry Doorley Zoo is a must see.  Also there is a Air & Space Museum in Ashland Nebraska which is just minutes from Omaha west on I-80.  http://www.sasmuseum.com/2014/09/04/september-11-2001-remembrance-program-and-exhibit/
