Bought a gelding this past Saturday that came off a ranch about 1 1/2 years ago near Poth supposedly. He is a red roan with a bar 7 on his left hip.  I'm curious about his history.  Google has not helped.  Anybody recognize the brand?  Thanks

If you show the brand someone may know it. I live not to far from Poth, maybe 30 mins.

Been so busy I'm just getting back to this. I'll get a pic, If I can, it is very faint. It is a bar over a 7.

Will that sounds simple, LOL I will ask some of the old timers around here and see if they know anything about this place. And you know for sure its a ranch?

We were told that he came off a ranch neat Poth. Definition of"ranch" I don't have. He appears to be ranch broke. He really strides out and knows how to go somewhere. Swinging a rope doesn't bother him. He has some good training from somewhere, so I thought I'd take a shot.

Once you get picture of horse and brand go to facebook to Greater San Antonio Area Horses, Tack & Supplies For Sale and post it there. Someone may recognize him or the brand. Also try to find Ruby Lingo Talamantez. She is from the Floresville area I believe and thats like 6 miles from Poth.

Thanks for all the replies.  The brand is too faint to get a good picture.  It would be fun to get his history, since he is obviously well broke under the beginner-rider-caused bad habits.

He did not come with papers.   He is also quite a bit under weight, but here is his pic.

Never mind, too big and don't have time to work with it.
