| Anyone ever purchased a buy back vehicle returned by another due to the lemon law? Dealership claims the problem has been fixed and vehicle is significantly less....still under factory warranty. |

Location: Montana | I would consider one. They have their own unique warranty from the manufacturer...it isn't quite the same as new car warranty, but just as good. Occasionally there is a car that has an issue, and once fixed it won't repeat the issue.
ETA: Depending on the state you live in, some cars will come back from the state with a title that marks it "Buy back" or "Lemon" and it will be lesser valued for future sales as well.

Location: Southern Oregon | Nope I would not touch it! We had a lemon truck when I was 18. My boyfriend and I purchased a brandnew Ford powerstroke. That thing had one problem after another. It was such a headache!!!! It wasn't just one issue it was tons of issues that reoccured. |

| A manufacturer wont buy back a vehicle just because it has a few issues. It will only do it if there are REPEATED after REPEATED attempts to fix it and still not fixed. You think as soon as it was Lemon Lawed they suddenly fixed it and its all good? LOL I would leave it alone |

Location: Southern Oregon | Also keep in mind that ONE problem in these vehicles can cause a chain type reaction of other issues. that is what happened with out truck. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | It depends. GM bought a 2011 GMC 3/4 ton diesel back from my dad because the air filter design did not function properly in dusty conditions. There wasn't anything WRONG with the truck other than the same poor design as all the others that year. It wasn't a problem for highway driving, but my dad is a farmer. |

You can't guarantee that with any used vehicle. Something might go along perfect for a long time, then all of a sudden break; at least on this type of car you would have warranty. There are so many "ifs" with cars, it isn't even funny. |

Buying a known lemon is not the same as buying a run-of-the-mill used vehicle. I don't care what kind of warranty it has. Lots of companies are out there that offer extended warranties for used vehicles. Even if it is under warranty, do you really want to deal with always having to put it in the shop and be without a vehicle? It had issues so bad that it couldn't be fixed and was declared a lemon. Now magically it's "fixed" by the dealership that is trying to sell it. I wouldn't take my chances with it.
