Location: SD | I have a gelding that has a higher wither but also dips in behind the shoulder blade a bit, so he needs a good supportive pad. He is in great shape, he doesn't need to add weight to fill thus area it's just the way he is built. I ride him in a Sherry Cervi Crown C with a Connie Combs pad with inserts right now but do not think that it is really the right thing yet. I'm checking into different options with pads. Wade...5 star.....best ever???? Opionins and/or suggestions anyone???? Thanks!!! |

| I love my csi saddle pads, they are pricey, but last forever, I have 2 I bought used and I have had them for 5 yrs.
I also ride in crown c saddles, and find I don't have to shim as much with my csi pads, also the pads are contoured to fit a horse with high withers, the flex plate is firm enough to bridge the saddle from falling in the dips,but the pad still contours to fit the horse.
I have pulled mine off and set it down on the ground where I can see the shape of the horses back |

Location: Phoenix | I would choose a 5 Star over a Best Ever. The 5 Star has a contoured top line so it's not going to pull down on the withers. I really love this about those pads. Never tried a CSI. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I really like my 5 Stars, you can get them in the thickness that you would need and lenght. I also got a few Oxbows that I really like to but I think if you have a high wither horse a 5 Star would be the way to go. |

| I like using my CSI pad and SaddleRight pads on my higher withered gelding. I've recently got the bug to order myself a 5 Star, but I'm trying to persuade myself otherwise to spare my bank account LOL |

Location: Texas | CSI for a high withered horse. I've only used CSI, 5 Star, and Classic Equine's Bio fit. CSI hands down. If you're willing to pay for a 5 Star you might as well just spend the little bit more for a CSI(imo) it is a whole other level of nice. |

Location: Michigan | CSI hands down. Having the removable shims that you can trim and then place where YOUR horse needs them. Not cheap but worth the money. Nice and sticky too, with this pad and my mares high withers I do not have to cinch her down very tight at all. |

Location: Alberta, Canada | I use a corrector on my high withered thoroughbred. I also use a 5 star with a ce shim on my other high withered mare. I like the corrector more than the csi personally. I've owned both.. but that is just my own preference and experience. Even with a well fitting saddle I prefer the corrector with no shims. |

Ditto on the Wyatt ranch pad!! I was going to suggest you look into those. I'd also say 5 star over best ever and had some luck with certain impact gel pads but don't think they necessary hold up like the Wyatt. Some like cutter collection pads too. Looks like cutter collection could be cutter classic now? Don't quote me |

| Yep agree with above. CSI. I have two high withered geldings one has some age on him and the CSI is great. Gives a lot of support and really keeps the saddle in place. |
