There are nice fairgrounds in northern, UT and I know the fairgrounds in Evanston, WY (just across the WY/UT border) is nice and has stalls if you need to throw a horse in.

In Las Vegas you can always stop at Horsemans Park. Or about 1.5-2hours away is St. George/Hurricane Fair Grounds. They have overnight stalls and full hook ups. In Northern Utah we stopped and stayed at Coalville Fairgrounds.  Parked near some trees and put horses in the arena pens.  I cant remember if there was a fee.

If you are coming up I-15 through UT, there are lots of nice places to stay. St. Georger/Hurricane has a nice facility, but not much shade & is hotter, Cedar City is nice and there is some shade there. The next one that I am the most familiar with is Nephi it has shade trees, stalls should be free, etc. Spanish Fork has great grounds as well as Heber, Oakley & in Wyoming, Rock Springs.

I am trying to think of places with shade or shade trees along the way.

Ogden doesn't have any trees but all the stalls are covered or they have an outdoor arena.  Evanston doesn't have any trees but they do have covered stalls that stay really cool and depending on the time of day your trailer would be in the shade AND they have a really good Mexican place right across the street to eat.  Easy access on and off the interstate.  Rock Springs has some good spots.  If you don't want to go to the the fairgrounds there there is a arena across the street but I don't think there is any shade there.

What are you heading up this way for?  I am currently in Buffalo, 2 hours north of Casper.  Are you going to have any extra holes in your trailer?  My boss may be buying a horse in SLC and may need it shipped up here.
