I have noticed for the last couple years that most of the time when I ride I have started having some pain mostly down the side of my leg maybe from my ankle up 6", if that makes sense.   I am wondering if slanted, crooked, or the slanted/crooked stirrups would help?  I am not sure which desgin helps with what issues?  Also say a sight had low angled and high angled stirrups?  Not sure what the difference would be between these?  Thanks

I've tried crooked stirrups and had leg pain. I use Nettles now and absolutely love them, they are worth the money

I rode with Walls slanted for 2 years and really liked them then bought a pair of Nettles and never looked back.

Can I ask where your pain starts? hip? thigh? knee? calf?

Are Nettles slanted also?  Just curious what makes everyone like them so much. Edited to add, I just read about them on their website and am intrigued.  I am thinking of ordering a pair but not sure if I want the petite or regular - what does everyone that has them use?

I currently ride in Walls slanted and like them (except when I hit my shin with them pulling my saddle out of the trailer lol).

Its mostly on the outside of my leg from about my ankle up 6" I guess along the Fibula bone.

Okay, I asked because my leg pain ended up being my sciatic but it started quite a bit higher than that.

No, Nettles are not slanted or crooked but they do offer different foot beds. Check out http://nettles-stirrups.com/ for more info. Sounds funny, but kinda hard for me to say why I like Nettles so much...they just work for me, seem balanced, foot stays in place, I don't rubber band and rarely lose a stirrup...

I can't ride without crooked stirrups.  Mine are the twisted and crooked stirrups.  I used to get horrible charlie horses in my right leg while riding, caused by a horse flipping over on me years ago and messing up my right hip.  I don't get them anymore with these stirrups.  They sure help my old knees too.

I love the Nettles stirrups with the leveler. It costs $75 more to have it put in stirrups but that's what makes them easier on your legs. I used to have the Walls slanted stirrups but the Nettles are better!

I use the Original Crooked stirrup and would buy them again.  I did rode in a normal stirrup the other day and WHOA it was weird.  I'd be open to trying another version but I NEED that slant!
