Location: Montana | Opinions on the Jeff Smith Tami Semas and the Jeff Smith C3...fit for humans and horses, run true to size, the way they ride, etc.? If you had to choose between one of the two, which one would it be? Reasons you like or dislike either one? TIA |

Love my C3, fits my horse great. Disliked the Tami, dumped forward super bad on my horse which in turn dumped me forward. The Semas has a ton of rock and flare to it, the C3 is toned down on the flare and has flatter bars (less rock). I feel they run true to size. |

Totally agree about the Tami throwing you forward. Mine would roll really bad in the turns and throw me forward. |

Very good to know, thank you, I don't like being dumped forward, or thrown back, I just want to stay well centered. |

I totally forgot about my Tami rolling, oh my goodness I could hardly barrel race in it because I was worried I'd roll right off the side. Even with my cinch as tight as it would go. Felt so bad for my little guy. |

It was really messing with my head... I thought I had become a horrible rider... I couldn't ride my horse any more... it was terrible. I thought it was all my fault! LOL!! It spooked me! |

| I have a C3 and a Jeff Smith. Love both of them! I feel the trees are very similar, or may be the same. The difference is in the stirrups. The C3's sets your feet under your hips, where the JS puts your feet forward. The JS sets you more on your jean's back pockets. Where the C3 sets you down, but not on your rear. They are both forward hung stirrups, but JS more than the C3. I run my C3 on my push style mare, and my JS on my free runners. Hope this helps! |

Well, I ride in a 13.5" Reinsman Marlene McRae and it fits me pretty well, so I was thinking I'd need no bigger than a 13.5" in a C3. I also ride a 14" Courts, but after riding in my 13.5" Marlene, the 14" seat feels big. |

Did she try the 4" cantle or the 5" cantle? I'm normally a 13.5" but when I ordered one with the 4" cantle I was swimming in it. Ordered a 5" cantle and it's perfect! |
