My mare has a cough this spring, she never had one previously. She is 14. She coughs when rolling and exercising. Not consistently when exercising just periodically. What supplements have you had good luck with? Thanks.

My mare is same way. Always spring and summer. I have tried many many and the best results are with curost total support. It's expensive but it does work. I have also used equishield SA with decent results but not as good as curost.

Where can I find more info on the curost total support

There are some older threads on here about it; I didn't look them up to see if I could find them, but they were very informative.

I haven't used it personally,  but I've heard really amazing things about CEP Daily Lung supplement. I know it comes in paste and powder form. I just started my horse on their Gut Check. They have super fast shipping and great customer service

I have used the Finishline Air Power years ago & liked it, but I'm always looking for something better

Unrelated LOL but curious to what you're opinion is on Gut Check so far? I use Zesterra, but if Gut Check is the same for cheaper I may try it.

I also use Curost.  My mare develops a cough every spring and lasts off and on until the fall.  It's because of how dry and dusty it is here during those seaons.

My Horse had a cough this spring too and I used Wind-Aid from Hawthorne Products. Seemed to work really well as he no longer has a cough after about giving it to him 3 times. Highly recommend.

I've heard of some good results with a mineral paste called Vita Min gel. It's by Equiboss performance. I know of a girl who traveled to Arizona this winter and used it and didn't have any sickness. Could help with your horses cough.
