| Those who have been to one of Pauls clinics, can you give your input on them? Likes, dislikes, what to expect, etc. I'm trying to decide what clinic to go to in the spring and he's an option. Thanks in advance! |

Location: South Dakota | Paul is a friend of mine....he is a horseman, and his training is all about teaching the horse to use it's body correctly to make a great turn. He has many drills that you will be taught at the clinic, which will help you start your horse, or tune up an older one. He is very personable, easy to talk to....no tears at his clinics :) I am planning on going to his upcoming clinic here in SD this July. He has a Facebook Page ...Breaking the Mold with Paul Humprey, as well as his own FB page, that will give you more info, reviews, video clips, etc.

Posts: 2715 Location: never in the right place | There have been 3 here in Ct and the people who have gone love them. I was going to audit but the fee was $100 per day and that was too much for me. |

Posts: 477 Location: Lost in the swamps | I would love to attend one!!! He actually came twice to my area but I couldn't go due to prior engagements. My friend went and had been showing me some of his patterns and techniques! Love them! Also look on YouTube for some short clips of his methods an see if you like them. |

Posts: 5094 Location: Southern Oregon | I actually just sent off my deposit for one of his clinics here in Oregon come spring time. I am pretty excited. I was trying to decide whether or not to pay the extra horse fee and take one of my younger ones with me too. |

Posts: 1586 Location: west of East Texas | My daughter and I went to a one-day clinic. I would love to go again. He recognizes the importance of horsemanship and I am real big on that also. He didn't sugarcoat his instructions but he was capable of getting his message delivered in a positive manner. It was a good learning experience. |

| Do you work mostly on horsemanship and drills throughout the clinic? Or do you also work on higher speed pattern work and correcting issues there? I would love to go to one of his clinics just for the horsemanship and to learn a few of his drills, but I also need help with certain issues on the pattern. |

Posts: 4168 Location: where the wind blows | I too consider Paul to be a good friend and I honestly can't say enough about his clinics. All my horses are started and schooled using his drills. I actually find the drills fun and they really keep your horse thinking.
Paul is a horseman and horsemanship is a solid foundation to his methods and clinics.
I hosted Paul for a clinic in Canada when he was just getting started with doing clinics. I told him on the drive back to the airport that he was a hidden gem and great things were going to happen when his name started getting out there. I was right he is booking clinics steady all over. I'm working on getting him back to Canada and have 2 possibly 3 clinics filled when we can get him here.
Paul is one of the nicest most personable and funniest clinicians out there. He is a wealth of knowledge and knows how to share his knowledge in a way you can understand without belittling you. He actually has a way of making you laugh at yourself.
3 girlfriends and I drove 15 hours to take one of his clinics in SD when I couldn't get him up here to do a clinic. I wouldn't hesitate to drive that far again.
If you get a chance to go to one of his clinics grab the chance. You won't regret it. |
