Shiloh makes saddles on several different trees. Kim Thomas, Contender, the old Cecil Phillips tree, I think one called the Lindz Sears, and probably others. I don't know all the differences of all the trees, but I belive the Contender has more swells than the rest and possibly more cantle. I have one on the Cecil Phillips tree and love how it rides.

I ride the old original CP trees... bought a jerri mann and sold it quickly! didnt like the swells on it.. havent ridden in the new contender or the other new one.. I think the old CP trees ride as close to the OLD, true connie combs made by Circle Y many years ago.. I rode those for years and couldnt be blasted out of them... Until I rode a old Cecil and been in them for close to 20 yrs now.

The Kim doesnt ride "deep" to me.. if you want deep and with some hold.. ride a Contender.

Yep, I agree with Pet Dakitty! Once, as embarrassing as this is, I wasn't ready for one little fully to suck up a barrel as impressively quick as she did and I ended up sitting almost on her rear! Needless to say, that was the last time I underestimated her and got behind her! Lol I do love the saddle though! I will probably go with a Cecil Philips next time, (which is fast approaching), if I stick with Shiloh, or I may keep this one in the trailer and go with a JJ Pozzi Pro Racer. They feel a little deeper seated to me :)

I agree- Contender if you want a deeper seat feeling/holding.

My saddle is a contender and yes it sets deep. You can also get up and move when you need to. Love it!
