Location: Texas | Hi am so bummed! My big horse was cleared to ride a few weeks ago so I sent him to aquatred for 3 weeks. He has been home a week and now he has the crud bad! Not sure where he got it. Vet thinks it viral so not a lot we can do but let it run it's course and treat fever etc. my mare had been acting like she did not feel well so maybe he got it from her but she did not have snotty nose like he does. And when I say snotty nose I mean yellow thick gooy stuff running out in large amounts. Worst part is now that one is sick the others will most likely get it. Gues I will be playing respiratory therapist to a bunch of horses instead of people the next week or so. |

Location: Where Governor's make the liscense plates | Oh I'm very sorry to hear this :( Maybe he picked up the virus at the aquatred place... I know I always pick up some new bug when I travel to new places. Atleast you wont have to neb the horses lol |

Location: Where Governor's make the liscense plates | Well best of luck at getting him better. We used to always rub some vicks up their nostrils to help open them up- I was thinking maybe a warm mash of something might help? I've never done a mash but lots on here I think have... Can horses have mucinex? that'd be something to ask the vet to thin the thick mucus... hmm food for thought |

Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah | I would get him some Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and put it in everyones water and double dose the vitamin C/K and E to boost their system back up. |

Location: Texas | We've been having great results adding Vitamin C to the feed (there is an injectable form as well). It's been clearing up pneumonia symptoms within a few days. We've have so much inconsistent weather here recently their poor systems don't know if it is summer or dead of winter. |
