| What is the going rate for Pentosan from Wedgewood? We are taking a horse in for a vet check and I want to try to get a prescription.
I cant remember exactly the price, but my vet says he orders from Wedgewood and I believe he charges his clients $240 for the 50ml bottle.

Location: Southeast Ga | My vet just calls the Rx for it to Wedgewood. I just go to their website and fill my prescription and it is sent directly to me within 2 days. Just got a bottle a couple of months ago and paid around $115.00 for it. |

That's a screaming deal for the 100ml size.
The law, atleast in Oklahoma, is that you cannot mark up compounded products. You can put a dispensing fee on them but not mark them up. Makes things tricky. I believe that is the law almost everywhere but I can’t speak for sure for any state other than OK. |

I get that.
But at $200 that's less than any of the direct pharma sale prices taht I know of.

Most Pentosan is 250 mg/mL and the dose on that concentration is generally 6 mL for a standard 1000 lb horse. |
