Expert Posts: 2457	Just thinking here ... Most larger manufacturers ... you have to bring your horse to them for a "fitting". If you can find a saddle maker in your area, they often will have LOTS of trees and can find one that fits your horse. Then call said company you want to buy from, like Martin or Double J, and ask what tree they offer that is most similar to the one you already found. Then do the trial program and test a saddle that has the recommended tree in it.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1161 Location: East Texas	I recommend Lynn also, I hauled a whole trailer load to her and she fitted each horse. I had went to another saddle fitter and their tree would only fit one horse and the cost of that saddle was through the roof. I was able to find a tree that fit 3 of mine when I went to Lynn. She is very knowledgable on their trees.

Transplant Okie Posts: 1206 Location: Always on call.....	NRS will fit with bare trees and finished saddles. They are currently in OKC for the USTRC Finals, I had my mare fit by them last year.

Expert Posts: 3815 Location: The best kept secret in TX	Most makers are hesitant to send a tree out simply because they don't want it copied. At least that's what I've heard from makers. Lynn McKenzie and Coats send out trees as stated above. I also would recommend hauling to a place that can sit multiple trees on your horse and get you just the right fit.
