Location: Montana | Basically, as the title says. Also opinions on PESI and other nominations greatly appreciated. In other words, what to enroll one in and what not to enroll them in. Both are available by the stud I'm breeding my mare to, and other things that don't necessarily require enrollment (like VGBRA, etc.). Thanks! |

| Folks really like to see it when purchasing.
Personally for me, if the foal is for "keeps" it's hard for me to want to pay them in, as I only stay in a tri-state area and the races up here rarely have Future Fortunes. I hope it grows up here because the two times I got to run for the extra money last year it was exciting and the extra checks are nice! |

Location: Where the buffalo roam | Plus it's like a really cheap lifetime entry fee (stole this line from a friend). A few years ago there were no FF races in this area and suddenly this year they are cropping up everywhere. I have a friend that bought a young horse that was paid into FF and she has won a lot of money with very limited hauling. |

Location: Montana | Good to know! The foal may or may not be for keeps, (if a colt, he will be sold, if a filly a keeper). The nearest FF is either Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, or Utah, but that wouldn't be too far. I'm not as familiar with PESI, but know it is available. VGBRA doesn't require enrollment of the foal (at least that I can find, I'm new to the futurity things). But I always thought FF was a plus. Thanks very much! |

| Well worth paying them in. You can easily win the cost of fee at one FF race. |

With a Future Fortunes horse really everyone wins. |

I didn't know Copper Spring Classic is Future Fortunes, but good to know.
Thanks for all the info. It sounds like Future Fortunes is definitely the way to go for sure, and I'm going to look into the other ones too. |

Location: SE Missouri | I pay them into everything they are eligible for.. Why wouldn't you? I could see if you had some race nominations and you knew you were not going to sell as a yearling or if the dam didn't have a lick of running blood not paying into that.. If it's a barrel incentive, just do it. |

Location: Montana | Awesome about CSR.
My mare isn't running bred per se (some back there, but nothing close enough to be a track horse), so I'll do my best to enroll in everything barrel racing. This has been most informative and I'm glad to know it! |
