Location: Iowa | I really appreciate when Heather Smith researches and lists all the NFR pedigrees for the year! https://www.barrelracingtips.com/top-15-barrel-horse-pedigrees-headed-to-the-2019-nfr/

Location: Shawnee OK | I was looking and find it intersting that a coule girls are only taking one horse. Is that a gamble? What if the horse gets hurt? Surely they have at least one more horse they could bring as a backup. Not bashing them for their decision, would love to know their reasoning actually, be a good learning tool. Why in a situation like that would they only take 1 horse? |

| I am proud that the top 2 horses are Driftwood bred horses. I am proud to own 2 daughters of Dinero. He certainly has proven himself as a great sire in not only the barrel arena, but in different arena's as well. I remember when I bred my Go Man Go mare in 1999 to Dinero. Some people laughed at me bacause Dinero was a 4 yr old & no one knew him. Mel knew what he would become. That's when I first met Mel Potter. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met. My first dinero daughter did wonderful in her futurities & went on to win alot in open shows as well. I am keeping her slick by design baby. I am so glad I changed my breeding program to all driftwood bred mares. All my baby's have been great to handle, smart & athletic. Since I have made the decision to not breed anymore " 22 years has been long enough" I will cherish my driftwood mares. They all have a forever home with us. |

Rodeo is a family in itself. If they have the misfortune of their horse getting hurt I'm sure another lady would give them a horse to ride. |

| Take a look at the number of horses that go back to Dash For Cash. All but 6. He is still the most prolific barrel horse producer--along with Easy Jet. |

| bullhaulersbabe: Cant say for all the ladies, but the few I know that are staying at our boarding facility definitely are bringing more than the ones listed. So I think these are just showing their main mounts or backups. |

It actually said that more horses may be added as the information becomes available. I took it to mean that just because they only have 1 listed, doesn't mean that's all they are bringing, just that who wrote the article didn't know who the backups were, or maybe even the rider didn't know what backup they were bringing yet. |
