Location: Wonderful Wyoming | On they track I think they are excellent. In the arena it depends on who you talk to. Some people can't train one that isn't all natural turn. They take more basics but are too smart for repetition. I absolutely love the Beduino lines. I bought a stud that was by Stoli and out of a Royal Quick Dash mare. He was my dream stallion the short time I had him. He died shortly after we bought him.

| On the track he is an outstanding sire ... over 20 million LTE and 2015 his mares produced over 2 million and was #10 out of the top 30 broodmare sires ...
http://stallionesearch.com/show_stallion.asp?horse=5
Lots of data on the above .. so keep clicking around until your find what you are looking for ... catalogue page is in yellow at bottom of page, Leading sires .. click on archives ... etc etc
You will see 8-9 other Beduino bred stallions in the top 30 ... Fishers Dash, Separatist, Chicks Beduino, This Snow Is Royal, Mr. Eye Opener, Game Patriot etc ... all well known and top sires ... as broodmare sires producing over a million $$'s per year ..
Beduino bred horses are smart, easy to train, good dispositions, gentle and a pleasure to be around.
As a barrel racer you need to already know how to ride a super fast, hard turning and hard fast gathering horse to enjoy owning one. They will scare the daylights out of a lessor horseman. once they learn the pattern they will get bored if you keep on and on schooling them at home and at exhibitions. So, treat them as professionals and leg them up outside in the pasture vs pounding on them in an arena.
I have had super babies out of daughters and granddaughters of RQD .... when crossed with ASOF, DTF, FG, FWF, DFP, Biankus, Easy Jet bred sons ........
Stay away from cutters and reiners since their conformation is typically down hill and cannot withstand the power beduino bred horses add to the conformation of a barrel horse ... keep current speed lines crossed on beduino horses and you will not be disappointed ..
They are typically in the 15.2HH range with perfect stride length, natural flying lead changes with hard turns and gathering and be ready for a big burst of speed on the way home .... rider needs to stay focused and in rhythm in order to enjoy the thrill of the wind blowing your hat off .... lol ...
It is easier to teach a fast horse to run slower than a slow horse to run faster ..

Location: Texas | I would love to have a daughter of RQD!! Have a friend who had a nice gelding by BHR Frenchie Socks o/o a daughter of RQD. Unless I was breeding to go to the track, I think I'd breed her to a FG son, a Dr Nick Bar, or Fiestas Gotta Gun, etc. |

Location: North of Tulsa, Oklahoma | I ride a grandaughter of RQD out of a Rare Jet mare. She's a little, tough, gritty mare who ran out $48K on the track. She is extremely smart and wants to please. She forgets nothing! She is a bit high wired but is all business in the barrel pen.
The horse in my profile pic is also a grandson of RQD out of a Zevi mare.

Location: Lala Land | I have a gelding out of a mare by him.... I can't say enough how much I love him!! He's the most kind horse, fast, athletic, with such a huge heart. Maybe his only fault is that he's too smart for his own good sometimes. He is a huge mess to be around very full of personality. We got him off the track and you can do anything with him, I trust him with our niece & nephew that aren't around horses at all. If he gets frustrated or something would spook him when he was 4 he just stops takes a deep breath and it's over. No blow ups or freak outs. I could go on an on... I wish I had 10 just like him. |

I have a full brother to her mare and he is the most talented horse I have EVER sat on but he has very low confidence. He fell this fall and has has gate issues since. Working on him now. Can't blame the BJO in my mind. Not sure if it is the RQD that makes him hotter but he can be a nut 20% of the time. The other 80% he is a doll. Speed is his downfall almost. When he runs- he loses his mind. Keep him collected and he will work all day. |

Location: a secret | I have RQD mare out of a son of frenchmans guy.. I find her to be a live wire like another poster shared she gets to running she loses her mind but I think it is confidence so handy too smart and drop dead gorgeous. She will take a special trainer to make her great... she has the tools but she would not be for everyone.... |
