Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | I have used them for many years - I have one horse that I just use the Thinline pad on (no felt sewed in or anything). They really do breathe. Since I bought a never tight cinch and my saddle doesn't slide as much, I have now been able to put a Back on Track pad underneath for one particular horse, but I have layered with other pads of my own depending on the horse I use.
Yesterday, I just picked up their COBRA sports medicine boots. They have some clever features and I am so excited to see how the thinline material works inside vs. neoprene that are in similar boots.
I am thinking about buying a cinch, also, to try.
I've always ordered online, but I have recently found a local saddleshop that carries some pads in stock and they ordered my boots and I got them for a pretty good price!

| I've got the boots too, since I have personal issues with neoprene and smb's always seemed so bulky to me. They seem to fit well, and don't hold as much heat as neoprene. I like them enough to where if maresy needs them on back I'll order another set. |

Location: Texas | I have the Cordura Fleece Western Pad in black and LOVE it. So easy to clean, just take a rubber curry to the fleece to get the hair off and fluff the fleece and hose it off. Conforms to the horse's back nicely. Contoured to relieve wither pressure. Shimmable if needed, but I don't.

I really like it, I layer it over different pad liners depending on what saddle I'm riding, it doesn't slip doesn't seem to retain a lot of heat despite being basically rubber and I like how durable it seems to be. I've had it for about six months. |

I got the quilted one with sheepskin on the underside. I'll report back once I've used it a bit. |

Hey Mandita - I'll send you a PM.....I like the boots!
As far as how thick the pads are - I purchased one many years ago that was reallly nice quality, but too thick -maybe 1" or slightly thicker (maybe not too thick for some, but it was for me and my horses at the time) - sent it back, no problem.
Now they have come out with thinner ones.
The actual thinline material comes in two thicknesses ---- thinline 1/4" and ultra thinline is 3/16"
You can get it with 1/4" felt attached, or wool or the really thin liner (similar to BOT Back on Track liner or English pad liner), and a thicker felt......there are a LOT more options, now than when I first began looking.

I really like it. First of all the quality is fantastic. It is a beautifully made item. It was thinner than I had expected but that's not a bad thing in my opinion. It's hard to tell with the fluff of the sheepskin, but maybe 1/2-5/8"? It's got a nice contour on it as well. I've been using it under my bareback pad to help distribute my weight and any pressure from my seat bones. I noticed a difference immediately. Seeing as I am not riding with a saddle, I can really tell how much the pad itself is doing for me. It definitely helps me ride quieter than using just a felt pad. As far as my horse goes, he has KS and works better bareback than he does in a saddle to begin with. But with this pad his attitude improved that much more. Now, the first time I used this was also a few days after the chiro cracked his poll back into place, so I don't know what had more of an effect, but between the pad and the chiro I literally felt like I was riding a different horse. I have absolutely NO regrets buying this pad and would get another, for sure!

Location: Jersey Girl | I just bought one. Only ridden twice in it but I like how its made. Very high quality. I got the corretion pad (no shims). Hoping that it helps with saddle fit a little. My horse was getting a small dry spot just below the wither. So far there is still a dry spot in the same place but its larger then with the other pad I was using. |

That happens, to me, too....inevitably changing 2 things at once. I hope it continues to work great for you! Mine is great to throw on when I need to ride bareback - the grip is excellent (I have the plain one w/o no felt/wool at all - just the thinline material.
