I like this baby, the only thing I would want to see is a bit more of a heaver hip and more muscle in the butt area. Beautiful baby

You like? She is out
Of a Hancock mare by altered intentions, I feel she is a tad long through the back, maybe I am being crazy?

I think she looks racy, a bit longer looking but I don't think she is put together bad at all. I like her hind leg set, could use a little more meat on her tushy but that will come.ETA- I feel like she looks like she will have a nice long easy stride with her build. I had a Hancock bred colt a few years back built the same. He turned out gorgeous!

Seeing that second picture now, It was not up when I posted the first time, I really like her, the second picture shows her hip better, nice but would like to see a little longer in the hip area.

I like her. I wouldn't count her flaws yet though. She's only a yearling (worst time to critique IMO) and going through a clear growth spurt it can sometimes play tricks on the eyes I find.

I really like her, I LOVE her eye, she has a soft sweet eye, she reminds me of my gelding with that same eye and small head!! She looks like she will be long strided as she is a little bit longer but I think she's balanced well. A little straight in hocks and hip could be bigger but I think she's balanced and that may not hinder her performance. My longer straighter horse is a sling shot style, straight up in and out, not to hind endy.

I agree........yearlings can sure look bad then turn around and look beautiful as 2 yo.

Right now, in her yearling pic, she looks way too straight in her hind leg......ie. not enough angle to her hock and stifle. Be sure and take pics as a 2yo to compare.

^^^ Agreed 100%. My good mare runs the same way and is built similar to this filly too. I like her ... oh wait, I HATE her and she NEEDS to come live at my house!!!

If I would critique anything, I would like more length, angle, and muscle mass through the stifle gaskin and to the hock. But, a lot of that can change especially when they start exercising and riding. She's cute and has a kind eye and is otherwise a pretty balanced baby :).

I hope this is your baby OP, if not its against the rules to critique a horse that you dont own.
