Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | For the past few weeks I've been sleeping thru my alarms. I have a few alarms set throughout the night to take the pup out and I sleep right thru them and next thing I know it's 6 in the morning and I had set 3 alarms before that. My worst fear is sleeping thru my alarm to wake up to go to work. I've been afraid to go back to sleep sometimes bc I'm afraid I will over sleep. I've tried changing the sound.
Last night I was woken up by my SO to shut my alarm off. I woke up to my phone in my hand. I go to plug it back in and my charger was gone. I looked all around and it was on the other side of the room!!!! What did I do in my sleep?!?!
I don't know what else to do to get me to wake up or not shut them off in my sleep!! |

Location: Minnesota | Put the alarm as far from your bed as you can so you have to get up to shut it off. Don't go lay back down. |

| yep. loudest setting and across the room. if nothing else your SO WILL smack you awake because it's so annoying to him. :) lol |

If I wake up at night at all is because of him! I don't ever remember hearing them or shutting them off. I wake up with the pup bc SO has to be up at 5. At least I have him to call me to make sure I'm awake for work. I get plenty of sleep so it's not like I'm so tired or anything. |

Location: ND--it snows, it floods, it snows, it floods | I can't help you since I'm the type of person that wakes up BEFORE my alarm is suppose to go off. I've always been that way for some reason. My hubby on the other hand will sleep through every alarm to the point that it wakes me up and I beat him awake. I'm also the type of person that wakes up and can't go back to sleep most times. Because of hubbys inability to wake up I sleep in the other room during the week so I at least get a bit more sleep. |

That means you are sleep deprived. Go to bed earlier and regular. That will solve your problem. |

I used to stay up till at least midnight sometimes when SO got home at 2 but once we moved and he went to days he goes to bed by 930 and I go with him so I'm getting way more sleep! |

Off topic, but I do this with the TV. Remote is right next to my head, but I will get up, move the clothes hamper and unplug it from the wall in my sleep.
As for your alarm, I would try setting on the other side of the room so you have to get up to shut it off. |

Location: North Dakota | I have the same problem! For the past couple months. I have gotten to the point that I set 3 alarms that are different, horrifying, and loud. To keep me from turning them off without waking up, I have it set that I have to do 5 math problems before I can turn it off. I'm terrible at math so I have to be awake to do it! I still haven't found a good solution for just not hearing it though. It has rung for half an hour before I finally wake up. It has caused me to be late to work too. |

I'm old & this morning I was having a nightmare that I couldn't turn my alarm off. I was beating the alarm clock with a shoe in my dream. I finally woke up enough to get up and actually turn my alarm off.

Now my question issss is hubby helping you out with pup? Are you guys taking turns to put out puppy?Â
My job is night duty bc he has to be up at 5 for work and I don't have to get up till 8 or 9. But he takes care of him during the day and nights on the weekends. |

For the OP - a sign of clinical depression is lethargy and requiring a lot of sleep. I know sometimes you can feel like you're not depressed, but your body is telling you otherwise. Something to think about. This is how I get |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | My hubby used to sleep thru alarms. He had five set. Going off at five minute intervals. All different sounds. I was the worst sound(s) to wake up to. He finally got one of those old school bell alarms that "ding, ding, ding" metal on metal, super loud and equally obnoxious. It was terrifying. It worked. |

| My SO does this really bad! Are you using your phone alarm? If so, you may need an actual alarm clock. They're loud and scare you out of your sleep but they work. Lol |
