Location: Somewhere around here | Been thinking about this for a few days now and I was just curious on some things. I see some assistants in the alleyway helping the riders and their horses but goodness it does not look like fun when they get bonked into a gate or wall. Do they have to be there or are they just asked to be there personally from the riders to help?
Also, I noticed that every rider has their own song when they are running. Do they get to choose their own song or is it chose for them?
Has anyone noticed Samantha's breast collars lately? I'm starting to really like the colored (Alpaca?) strand ones!
Like other events, do you get fined if your hat flies off during your run? |

Location: North Dakota | I always wonder about the assistants too. I would assume it's like other barrel races where you grab a friend, family member, etc to be your victim and help get your pony in but I really don't know. I wanna know about the songs too. I didn't even realize they were using the same ones for the same girls. I just thought they liked Iggy Azalea a little too much... |

As for the songs, I don't think they pick them. That's usually up to the sound people, and it's probably just easier to always play a certain song for certain people. |

It cracks me up when they play Timber by Ke$ha for Timber Moore. I don't know the guy, but I couldn't imagine many guys asking for that to be their song.. Lol! |

Location: Canada | I was told by a former NFR contestant that they have very limited time once it's their turn to get their horse in the alley and on its way. Take too much time and they would fine you. So the helpers are there to get the horse in with as little time taken as possible. She said everyone had a helper or two to make sure that their horse got in. Plus if you won the round you had someone there to hold your horse so you could make your victory lap. |

Location: Georgia | I've got a question. I was wondering why Carlee didn't wear any sponsor insignias onher shirts like all the other girls. Even in the team pictures she's the only one without any? |

Not at all saying this disrespectfully, but maybe they decided to not have her anymore after she "retired" for a while? Or vice versa? |

| To answer the question on sponsors on my shirt. I have formula 707 on my saddle pad each night. I chose not to resign with the few sponsors I had. A lot of them want to provide very little product and have you promote them and build their business without any financial help. I believe in the products I do use and won't just have a patch on my shirt to say I have a sponsor. Thank you to everybody who supported me throughout this year and NFR. One more thing on the "retire" I took a break from hauling last year for my family. It could have been for a month I needed to be home or for 5 years, but I never have or will retire.
I love for y'all to ask questions and I will answer when I get on here and see them. It's so much easier than assuming we know what's going on and keeps a lot of rumors from being started. |

Location: BETWEEN HOT FLASHES AND GERITOL | I went to the finals as Janet Stover's alley help, let me tell ya I'm glad I made it out alive it's the most dangerous place at the finals I think. It was awesome though I feel so blessed I got to do it. Only Janet was running Bo and every night on the way up he would try and run me over. LOL |

I have to say that I was so impressed by your young horses. I can't wait to see them make their way to the T & M in the future. |

That's really great! I see so many girls sell out and endorse products they had previously denounced just for the sponsorship and it's so frustrating. Glad to see an NFR barrel racer only stand for products they believe in! |

Location: Sweet Home Alabama | I think they do pick their song. Last year they played My Songs Know What you Did In The Dark by Fallout Boy every time Brittany Pozzi ran, & Roar played every time Shada ran. Now whenever I hear those two songs I think of them running. Lol I remember awhile back Shane Hanchey tweeted somebody & requested his NFR song. So if the ropers can then the women probably do too. If they care. But idk since I've never been in that position. |
