Does anyone have any information on his injury? Heard he injured his stifle.. will they be doing breeding this year?

No idea what he did.  But he RE injured it.  From that I have read, NO, they will not be breeding with him this year.  And it is a "wait and see" for the future.

The word is they are not breeding anything this year.  They have frozen but not enough so they are not sending it to anybody.  They are holding the breedings for next year or refunding to those who would like.   Anybody know what caused the injury?

Kudos to them for giving him a year off. It sounds like they are doing everything they can to do right by him. I hope maybe they can train him to collect standing for the future, because that's always an option.

Chasin Firewater was retired to fulltime stud duty in 2012 due to a fractured stifle at the 2011 NFR. He has re-injured that stifle. Our business has never been about the money, hence the reason we've kept Chasin Firewater's stud fee affordable, given what he's sired and the number of incentive programs his offspring is available for. Fees are being refunded. We are forever gracious to all of those who have been so understanding during this difficult time--he's not just a horse; he's family.
